OpenAI Partners With Infosys to Deploy AI Coding Tools Across Global Enterprise Clients

OpenAI has signed a partnership together with Indian technology major Infosys in order to incorporate the company’s AI tools, including the coding aid Codex and Infosys’s Topaz AI platform. The partnership aims at modernizing software automation of workflows and massive-scale AI deployment across Infosys’s customer base that spans more than 60 nations.

The partnership is part of the OpenAI’s larger Codex Labs initiative, which connects engineers directly to customers of enterprises to accelerate deployment. First partners included Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, PwC, and Tata Consultancy Services. Codex has over four million daily active users.

For Infosys the acquisition comes in a time when the company is under stress from a decrease in customer spending as well as investor concerns that new AI could reduce traditional outsourcing revenue shares have dropped by more than 22% over the last year. Infosys reported around $267 million in AI-related revenues in the last quarter. The financial terms of the quarter were not made public.
